On a walk around Buttermere, I saw this poor, sodden tree beyond the edge of the lake, looking thoroughly miserable. Naturally, I took a photo... Being a black and white shot, I have hand-developed the negative, scanned it in and only handed over the final printing to a professional printer to do it justice. 		Around Jasper Lake

This is one of those 'right place, right time, wrong camera' shots. Evereyting lined up as the movement on the water brought the kayaks round in perfect synchronisation as I stepped out of the car. However, all I had with me was my Minolta digital camera, but I believe it has captured the scene very well indeed. Unfortunately, becasue of the limitations of the camera this image is best viewd as A4 or smaller. It does make agreat greetings card though, and several have been sent to dry and dusty places for the benefit of the recipient. 		Around Jasper Lake
