Footsteps on a pebble beach.

A home-grown sunflower.
Cragside Bench

A welcome sight when out in the gardens at Cragside in Northumberland.
Forget Me Nots

A study of forget me not flowers, in the car park at Fountains Abbey. Coverted to greyscale, which I think works very nicely.
Foal

One of the horses in the Bishop's Park in Bishop Auckland.
Bursting Out

On a frosty afternoon, a cast iron pipe gave way.
Foxgloves

A study of Scottish foxgloves.
Fly Agaric

An excellent picture to get people guessing.
More Frosticles

Ice-crusted rocks.
Gairloch Beach

A fairly typical bit of beach, but when I was trying to see if the picture had any redeeming features, the face appeared...
Feather Yacht

One of my favourite pictures, a feather yacht sailing on a sea of ice.
Whitby Fire Angel

The Festival of Light at Whitby Abbey, organised by English Heritage, featured a giant flaming angel as part of the display.
Purple Flower

A delicate purple flower.
Stag On The Skyline

Up in Sutherland, we spent a couple of days trying to get some photos of deer, which wasn't as easy as we'd hoped. Although there are loads, they are very camera shy.
Cragside Ice

One of several shots taken on a very enjoyable day at Cragside House in Northumberland. Obviously the day had been a bit nippy and it was only late in the afternoon that we reached this lake. This is the reflection of the winter trees on the ice. Which way up you put it is entirely up to you.
An Evening Gander

One of a flock of Canadian geese who were enjoying the sunset, and basically blocking the sun.
Standing Stone

On the shores of a loch near Glen Coe, the faerie people must have raised this stone to their wee gods.
Durness Beach

The award-winning Durness Beach, and they're not shy in letting you know.
Waterfall on the River Polly

One of the many rivers in Sutherland, swollen by persistent rain.
Boat on Loch Nedd

A tethered boat on Loch Nedd.
Christmas in Hawes

A typical Christmas scene in Hawes.
Evil Snowman

An evil snowman...

Police Cone

Er, there's not a lot to add really, apart from quite a few beers had been quaffed.
Bridge of the Cauldron

Pont-y-Pair in Betws y Coed
Brick Train

David Mach's 1997 sculpture of the Mallard in Darlington.
Underwater Colours

Ice cold lakeland water, bright sunshine and ripples.
Tethered Boats

Three tethered boats on Loch Nedd.
No Title

This is one of those 'right place, right time, wrong camera' shots. Evereyting lined up as the movement on the water brought the kayaks round in perfect synchronisation as I stepped out of the car. However, all I had with me was my Minolta digital camera, but I believe it has captured the scene very well indeed. Unfortunately, becasue of the limitations of the camera this image is best viewd as A4 or smaller. It does make agreat greetings card though, and several have been sent to dry and dusty places for the benefit of the recipient.
No Title

The Festival of Light at Whitby Abbey, organised by English Heritage, featured a parade of lanterns made by the public. These were lit as darkness fell and these are a few of them, complete with a burning barrel.
Flower Daemon

The centre of a flower I've forgotten the name of. Or is it?
Puffin on Handa Island

A puffin, minding its own business on Handa Island.
Puffin Graffiti on Handa Island

The unkind would say I got the focussing wrong and got the cliff wall perfectly caught. I prefer to think I was going for the artistic, motion blur. Let's face it, a puffin trying to take off is not a graceful sight.
